Finite Derivation Type for Large Ideals

چکیده
In this paper we give a partial answer to the following question: does a large subsemigroup of a semigroup S with the finite combinatorial property finite derivation type (FDT ) also has the same property? A positive answer is given for large ideals. As a consequence of this statement we prove that, given a finitely presented Rees matrix semigroup M [S; I, J ;P ], the semigroup S has FDT if and only if so does M [S; I, J ;P ].

(θ, Δ)-codes with Skew Polynomial Rings
In this paper we generalize coding theory of cyclic codes over finite fields to skew polynomial rings over finite rings. Codes that are principal ideals in quotient rings of skew polynomial rings by two sided ideals are studied. Next we consider skew codes of endomorphism type and derivation type. And we give some examples.

متن کاملLie Ideals and Generalized Derivations in Semiprime Rings
Let R be a 2-torsion free ring and L a Lie ideal of R. An additive mapping F : R ! R is called a generalized derivation on R if there exists a derivation d : R to R such that F(xy) = F(x)y + xd(y) holds for all x y in R. In the present paper we describe the action of generalized derivations satisfying several conditions on Lie ideals of semiprime rings.
متن کاملOn the Beurling Algebras A+α(d)—derivations and Extensions
Based on a description of the squares of cofinite primary ideals of A + α (D), we prove the following results: for α ≥ 1, there exists a derivation from A + α (D) into a finite-dimensional module such that this derivation is unbounded on every dense subalgebra; for m ∈ N and α ∈ [m, m + 1), every finite-dimensional extension of A + α (D) splits algebraically if and only if α ≥ m + 1/2.
متن کاملThe Canonical Test Case for the Non-commutative Singer-wermer Conjecture
It is a famous conjecture that every derivation on each Banach algebra leaves every primitive ideal of the algebra invariant. This conjecture is known to be true if, in addition, the derivation is assumed to be continuous. It is also known to be true if the algebra is commutative, in which case the derivation necessarily maps into the (Jacobson) radical. Because I. M. Singer and J. Wermer origi...
